Work We’ve Done
We have built a consistent track record in audio and podcasting matched by few. We make shows that people talk about. Shows that redefine the audio space by telling stories in new and unusual ways. Shows that routinely top the charts, make the yearly “best of” lists, win awards, and that, together, have generated hundreds of millions of downloads.
Below are some of our most recognized projects we’ve done at Magnificent Noise and previously during our tenures creating original content at Audible and NPR.
Some stories are too sensitive, painful or potentially damaging to share publicly -- unless they can be shared anonymously. TED and Luminary Media present Sincerely, X: an original audio series featuring talks from speakers whose ideas deserve to be heard, but whose identities must remain hidden. The first season features a compelling program of victims, perpetrators, investigators, activists, empaths and more.
The next three projects were produced while we we were at Audible.
WHERE SHOULD WE BEGIN? WITH ESTHER PEREL
"Provocative, intriguing and insightful all at once." --Vogue
Step into iconic relationship therapist Esther Perel’s office and listen as 10 anonymous couples in search of insight bare the raw, intimate, and profound details of their story. From infidelity, to sexlessness, to loss, it’s a space for people to be heard and understood. It’s also a place for us to listen and feel empowered in our own relationships.
“Is West Cork the new Serial? No, this murder mystery is far better.”
—The Sunday Times
An Audible Original podcast produced in February, 2018. Just days before Christmas in 1996, Sophie Toscan du Plantier was murdered outside her home near the town of Schull in West Cork, Ireland. The rest remains a mystery. And the case remains unsolved. The series can be found at audible.com/westcork
THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT
Join bestselling author Jon Ronson as he traces a very strange butterfly effect. A teen in Brussels had an idea – to make porn free and easy to stream online. The consequences of that idea are mysterious, delightful, surprising, and sad. This 7-part series takes you on a journey to places you’ll never expect.
The next three projects were produced while we were at National Public Radio (NPR).
Unseeable forces control human behavior and shape our ideas, beliefs, and assumptions. Invisibilia—Latin for invisible things—fuses narrative storytelling with science that will make you see your own life differently.
TED RADIO HOUR
The TED Radio Hour is a narrative journey through fascinating ideas, astonishing inventions, fresh approaches to old problems, and new ways to think and create.
